Arrival

When you arrive for your appointment, you can either come directly into the clinic to check-in or give us a call to let us know you have arrived and wait in your vehicle until your exam room is ready, if you prefer. Sometimes, this is a nice option for animals who are nervous in new places or around other animals.

Pet Medical History

In most cases, one of our veterinary technicians will start your appointment by asking about your pet’s medical history, current condition, and the reason for your visit, gathering information for the doctor.

Examination

Next, the veterinarian will examine your pet, ask you additional questions, then, based on exam findings and your pet’s history may recommend diagnostic tests. Some of these can be run in the clinic, and others will need to go to a lab to be processed. Once the tests have been run, your doctor will discuss the results (this will either occur in the clinic or via phone call if diagnostic tests are sent to a lab). Next, your doctor will either discuss a possible diagnosis and treatment plan or recommend additional diagnostic tests, if needed.

Communication

This is a great time to ask questions! Our veterinary team wants to make sure you’re completely comfortable with the information we have provided during your time with us.

Follow Up Care

Your veterinary technician will come back to wrap things up and provide you with helpful pet care information and answer wellness and care questions. Your payment will then be processed and any follow-up appointments can be scheduled at this time.
